Crews with Summit Fire & EMS, the Red, White and Blue Fire Protection District, the U.S. Forest Service, Summit County Open Space, the Summit County Sheriff’s office plan to partner with the town of Breckenridge Tuesday, Feb. 4 to burn slash piles, according to a news release from the town. The burning will take place at the Airport Road Open Space on Airport Road in Breckenridge, with ignitions set to begin around 11 a.m. Ventilation rates are expected to be highly favorable throughout the week which should limit smoke impacts on the community.
