2024 October 4 update

The construction crew at Hyder Construction sent us this photo from the top of the central stairwell tower at our new Silverthorne fire station, noting that it's one of the many reasons they enjoy working in the mountains!

This week's progress included pouring the new deck for that tower, leaving site paving as the only concrete left to do. They continue to make lots of progress on interior framing, putting them in good position to enclose the full building before the onset of winter.  Through this month, we’ll see the completion of the roof, overhead door, window and door systems, siding and stone veneer, and site paving.

Roof with metal sheets, a person's foot visible, a brick wall, and an open metal hatch.
Interior view of a stairwell with metal steps and corrugated ceiling, looking out to a bright day through a window.
