2024 Nov 20 update

The red piping here carries the snow-melt hot water for the apron of the new Silverthorne fire station.

It was gratifying to hear last week that the temporary heat has been installed in our new Silverthorne fire station, and with the full enclosure of the building, construction crews will be able to make excellent progress, despite the snow and cold, throughout the winter. Additionally, the concrete was poured for the front apron, and the pavement-heating system appears to be working great, so that our first responders won't have to shovel first when they get called out during a blizzard. And the rough-in (installing the pipes for water systems and the conduits for electrical lines, etc.) is rapidly progressing.

The bay door to the workout room will prove to be a very popular feature during those lovely summer days!

The rough-in process includes installing the pipe for plumbing, conduit for electrical lines and the like.
A construction site with a building, covered partially with a tarp, amid a snowy landscape, with construction materials in front.
Stone veneer work on the outside looks really sharp.
Construction site with curved concrete forms and muddy terrain.
The curbs and gutters were substantially complete before the snow and cold weather moved in. the remainder likely will have to wait until spring.
